from empty orbits
death jealously looks upon
life’s crystal vision

the things I will miss
the silence of roads and skies
the songs of nature
here a calm morning
whilst only half a world away
a tsunami breaks
one line of a song
feeling of uncertainty
half remembered dreams
in the dark of night
when all that can be heard is
the beat of your heart
a casement window
framing its panes sparkling frost
melting in the sun
my dog asleep, her
head resting against my side
my hand on her back
a cold draft playing
curling dust in oosy drifts
time for a spring clean
rows of hills and trees
rise layer upon layer
morning mists drifting
morning light cutting
across the darkness of night
this liminal space
I dream so I write ..
