its interwoven stripes form
squares in heather tones
Something about plaid

Bend stretch bend stretch bend
bend stretch bend stretch bend stretch bend
bend stretch bend stretch done
Hurling needles of
ice, wind and rain fight it out
a perfect battle
within their four walls
was much talking and laughing
before the third wave
The miles between us
in times of separation
bind us and keep us
A woman alone
with her thoughts and memories
drinks a cup of tea
Wherever we are
At this moment of reading
we are together
A bird contemplates
the promise of a new day
a morning shower
A tiny flower
how delicate, how strong to
counter this deluge
A fresh smell of earth
Absorbing the gift of rain
An open window
I dream so I write ..
