occupied shower
awaiting my turn to wash
I fall back to sleep
occupied shower
awaiting my turn to wash
I fall back to sleep
first light this morning
flows in like molten silver
a distant bell chimes
how unexpected
a lovely gift from a friend
happy memories
dawn sky turning gold
a squirrel frolicks above
two sleeping pigeons
a frost-nipped morning
a bra hangs stiff on the line
robin redbreast chirps
sketched amongst the twigs
the dark shapes of roosting birds
early morning fog
before the snow fell
a cold moon cast rainbow rings
on a ruined town
a heavy snowfall
no footprints outside our house
not a breath of wind
slept late this morning
a flask of tea left for me
little act of love
through the letterbox
a brown paper package drops
my heart quickens
(for @thiwurd in appreciation)
