motionless morning
the sky a smooth grey canvas
for your brilliance
motionless morning
the sky a smooth grey canvas
for your brilliance
backspace and replace,
delete, bin, trash disabled
the escape key fails
jealous eyes watching
behind pale masks slip within
recruiting through fear
an insidious
creeping surveillance heralds
life less than human

On the common path
shared tales of dogs now parted
and those at our sides
A sinuous cat
alseep in langourous dream
ears twitch, eyes flicker
Your humanity
warms me. When competition
goes, appreciate
Socially distant
a colleague smiles through video
children by his side
In the darkest glade
an owl with death on her mind
glides on soundless wings
What I love in you
are those little things that are
just you, only you
I dream so I write ..
“Wings are an illusive notion. Some may possess them, but they are not very visible, and as for me, there isn’t the least sign of a feather.” -Amy Carmichael
