Between hearts and minds
Parallel paths somehow meet
Fleeting kisses pass
Between hearts and minds
Parallel paths somehow meet
Fleeting kisses pass
Between our two minds
Twisting paths meander, cross,
But never will meet
Birds twitter and tweat
The mighty trees stand unmoved
Sadness saps inwards
scattering of snow
five squirrels race up a tree
a dog sits and waits
between the blue sky
and a mist shrouded valley
a line of dark trees
Familiar smells
A hand wrapping a warm mug
A dog wags her tail
In virus’ shadow
Seven billion people sigh.
Birdsong brings delight
from a sunny hill
thick fog obscures the valley
we await the reveal
Even the sound of
my heartbeat is muffled, by
softly falling snow.
on a dark night
snowflakes like goose feathers fall
unexpectedly
I dream so I write ..
