Brave little snowdrops
all shivering in the breeze
a horse snorts and stamps
Brave little snowdrops
all shivering in the breeze
a horse snorts and stamps
how still the morning
a muted pastel palette
painted-out the storm
when autumn kisses
the leaves red and gold squirrels
frolic playfully
Afire with colour
autumn leaves light Mont-Tremblant
in radiant hues
white skeletal trees
whispering in the forest
tell of an ice storm
At last a breeze to
chase the shadows and save me
from recalcitrance
When shadows conspire
day considers its options
squatting ‘neath a cloud
When night overstays
pushing darkness into day
shadows congregate
Conspiracy of
darkness keeping light away
trees stand like sentries
In solitary
confinement we stop, we pause.
finally, we breathe
I dream so I write ..
