on a flight to Eire
a plane crossed our path so close
life lived in a flash
on a flight to Eire
a plane crossed our path so close
life lived in a flash
April is surprised
frost lingers in the corners
of each window pane
remembering my
grandmother, feeding the birds,
whistling, breaking bread
sunny garden wall
a robin come to visit
late spring snowflakes fall
a robin red breast
a man breaking the hard soil
a team hunting grubs
a gradual easing
growling traffic crawling by
still holding our breath
today breaks gently
two doves asleep, windless trees,
quiet golden thoughts
a house like a cave
stone walls stone ceilings stone floors
softening sunlight
leaning on a wall
time alone for pensive thought
people passing by
dreaming of days spent
walking amongst the sand dunes
sea grass whispering
I dream so I write ..
