rising sun’s blazing
mirror image, clouds and trees
on my bedroom wall
rising sun’s blazing
mirror image, clouds and trees
on my bedroom wall
toast and marmalade
a mug of fresh pressed coffee
a personal space
a bowl of hot soup
three fat little carrots steam
a spoon slowly stirs
that temporal shift
a discombobulation
of the heart and mind
the clocks will advance
and I will spend the summer
running to catch up
thawing fingers and
toes stretched to welcoming fire,
vernal equinox
splintering of twigs
branches churn fluttering wings
doves’ loving flurry
a single flower
focus in on its pink heart
its subtle perfume
from the room above
a single chime, a call to
meditation
the fool on the hill
insidious mushroom rings
a red button glows
I dream so I write ..
