I feel so small
rain
old man in the rain
stuck on a traffic island
conflicting currents
work
a flock of seagulls
excavators hard at work
the stench of landfill
sweater
dressing for the cold
my favourite green sweater
the one with the darn
stare
no chorus this morn
the sun casts an icy stare
on still-sleeping birds
chill
the first blaze of dawn
burnt orange and azure blue
belie winter’s chill
pattering
hailstones pattering
fingers trying to keep pace
